Our Mission

The TideKeepers Foundation was born from a single vision—of tide-responsive beings emerging from the sea, whispering to us through form and movement. What began as a personal dream to sculpt these beings evolved into something far greater.

As the project took shape, artists of all kinds began to gather—filmmakers, writers, stoneworkers, musicians, and storytellers—each bringing their voice, their craft, their soul. Together, we weren’t just creating sculptures; we were forming a shared path of creation.

Now, the TideKeepers Foundation stands as a home for this expanding vision: to support artists whose work honors the Earth, the sea, the rhythms of nature—and to create opportunities for collaboration, visibility, and reverence through public art.

The Tide Keepers of Cape Ann

TideKeepers is a growing initiative dedicated to placing tide-responsive sculptures along the shores of Cape Ann and neighboring coastal towns. It was born from a vision—first received during a solar eclipse—of a mermaid resting beneath the tide, revealed only when the sea pulls back.

This non-profit organization was created to support the development of tide-responsive sculptures along the New England coastline. Each piece is crafted to not only beautify the shoreline but also to nurture a new kind of artistic tourism—one rooted in reverence, presence, and deep connection with the natural world.

By interacting with the tides and attuning to the rhythms of the moon, these sculptures invite a slower, more reflective experience—one that awakens memory, inspires wonder, and strengthens our bond with the sea. Through art, place, and ritual, the TideKeepers project becomes a vessel for reconnection.

That first sculpture, Atlantis The Tide Keeper, became both an anchor and a beginning.

Each TideKeepers sculpture is more than art—it is a portal. Rooted in bronze and myth, shaped by memory and moonlight, every piece interacts with the living sea. As tides rise and fall, the sculptures appear and disappear, reminding us of our own rhythms, our forgotten stories, and our sacred connection to the water.

This project invites you to pause. To witness. To remember.

Together, the sculptures will form a constellation of guardians—beacons of reverence, beauty, and belonging—woven across the coastline like pearls on a strand. Each one a whisper from the deep, calling us back to balance, wonder, and care.
